Dermal fillers help to replenish lost skin volume and improve your looks instantly and naturally. Dermal Fillers help to smooth facial lines and wrinkles resulting in increased fullness of the skin and lips, a more youthful appearance and boosted confidence.
What are Dermal Fillers?
Popular for softening wrinkles, facial lines and laughter lines caused naturally by ageing and/or sun exposure. The fillers are combined with a local anaesthetic to numb the treatment area, then the dermal fillers are injected into the skin with a very fine needle to lift you face with natural volume. The procedure leaves your skin feeling hydrated and youthful.
We offer dermal fillers to the following areas, nasolabial folds, lips, lines around the mouth and marionettes. We also offer fillers for cheek, tear trough, jaw and chin augmentation.
All of our clients seeking injectable treatments are given a full consultation with one of our doctors to ensure they fully understand the treatment, their expectations and motivation. The dermal fillers we use contain hyaluronic acid which occurs naturally in our skin. It attracts water and acts as a cushioning agent. The injection fills lines and replaces lost volume. Over time these injections encourage collagen production. The product is derived from a bacteria which is purified so poses no risk of infection. It contains no animal or human product.
Your skin will be medically cleansed followed by the application of a numbing cream to the areas to be treated. This is left for 30-45 minutes to take effect.
The dermal fillers are then injected with a small needle into the desired areas. The dermal filler contains local anaesthetic to make the procedure more comfortable. Most people report a little discomfort during the injections but not pain.
If you are concerned about pain or you have a needle phobia, please ask your practitioner for further guidance.
